At What Next?, we believe in the power of community and the value of sharing. Our donation-only Library of Things aims to provide you with access to a wide range of items, tools, and resources that can enhance your life and help reduce waste by promoting a culture of sharing and sustainability.

As you explore our catalogue (below), you’ll find everything from gardening equipment, DIY tools and kitchen appliances to music instruments, games and ‘citizen science’ kits. All items have been either ethically sourced or generously donated by partner organisations or community members like you, who understand the importance of building a better tomorrow by reusing, repairing and recycling today.

CHRISTMAS BREAK: the LIBRARY OF THINGS, will be closed from SUNDAY 22nd DECEMBER to WEDNESDAY 1st JANUARY (INCLUSIVE).

If you want to borrow an item over the Christmas period please contact us.

This community project is a collaborative venture, organised and operated by What Next? and Godalming Library (part of Surrey Library Service), with the support of Waverley Borough Council (who are providing storage) and Godalming Town Council (who provided our display cabinet). 

We are very grateful to the staff of Godalming Library for managing the pick-up and return of items. However, all other aspects of this service are run by volunteers generously giving their time to the community; please do bear this in mind if things don’t always go as planned.
